It would have been interesting to see a little more background on the girl. It fails to show how important being successful is for the girl rather, it focuses on how impactful the rivalry is on her. The girl, being the smaller business owner, is shown to be fair unlike her rival, the typical salesman. This particular comic book seems to be aimed at children, due to the simple language and the subtle message of unselfishness this concept is generally seen in cartoons for children. Garfield and the girl devise a plan to stop the lemonade seller from selling to a customer. The antagonist in this plot is a professional lemonade seller, who has a van at his disposal. One of the plots revolves around a girl’s lemonade stand. The 16th edition of Garfield by Jim Davis was published in 2013 and has two major plots in the comic book, much like the other editions. Garfield usually has bland humor, enough to put a smile on the reader’s face. The character is widely popular in newspaper comic strips, but also has the occasional comic book printed. ![]() Garfield is generally for casual, non-hardcore comic fans.
